This is the story of a brilliant young girl who is exceptionally intelligent and loves reading, yet is often mistreated by her neglectful and ignorant parents and the tyrannical headmistress at school, who seeks to crush her spirit. Despite these challenges, the girl discovers she has telekinetic powers and uses them to stand up against injustice.
