About

It’s opening night: the stage is set, the audience is ready and – wait, where’s the cast? And why is the director yelling about bats? Follow along as we explore the development of a community theatre production of Romeo and Juliet: from auditions to rehearsals to showtime, guided as you go by a snarky narrator. This chaotic one-act play offers an exaggerated peek behind the scenes that is sure to make you wonder how true it actually is.

Directed By Emerson O’Regan

🕒 Runtime: 60min, no interval

This play is part of Shoreside Theatre’s One Act Play Festival: an opportunity for newer directors to spread their wings while providing our community with a brilliant night out. Check out the other play in the festival: White Men.
