Hiring Our Spaces
The PumpHouse Theatre is a vibrant, inclusive, artist-led Performing Arts venue, located on the shore of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, Auckland. Since hosting its first performance in 1977, the theatre space has hosted thousands of productions, workshops, classes and has nurtured generations of local artists and audiences.
It has three distinct performance spaces, available for both daytime and evening hire. We welcome all genres of the Performing Arts, including plays, musicals, dance, comedy, music, magic, poetry, burlesque, circus and opera. When you hire with us, we can also offer ticketing, front of house, advertising and technical support.
We proudly support all artists with a story to tell, so get in touch and we’ll help find the right stage for you.
Be it Shakespeare, music or something else, your audience will remember the atmosphere as the sun sets over the lake and the stars come out above.
Designed specifically for smaller events, play readings or storytelling the Coal Bunker Studio is a lower cost option for new work or studio productions.
