From Shakespeare to musicals, classical concerts to rock bands, we’re accepting expressions of interest from anyone interested in performing at The PumpHouse next year.
With multiple performance spaces to choose from, and experts on hand to help with marketing and promotion, technical assistance and health and safety, we are keen to support everyone with a story to share.
Expressing your interest
To express your interest in dates at The PumpHouse in 2026 please complete the form below. This will give us the information we need to allocate space in the calendar. If you have flexibility around dates, let us know what your options are.
Our goal is to ensure everyone who wants to use The PumpHouse gets a chance, that there is a wide variety of performance on offer, and that our local community are able to enjoy and share in a live theatre experience.
We’re especially keen to ensure there is space for communities and stories that aren’t often well represented.
Single-Day vs Multi-Day Hire
We offer two standard hire packages. A Single Day hire is a full service and includes staff such as a Venue Supervisor, a Front of House team and a venue technician provided by The PumpHouse Theatre. This is best for one-off events like concerts or showcases, or where you don’t have a team to support your event already
Multi-day hire periods are generally self-service. This means you can provide your own technicians and Front of House team if this will be more affordable. You will need to appoint a Health and Safety person, provide a Health and Safety Plan, and a Hazard register. This is best suited for professional or community theatre productions where you have a strong team involved already.
If you aren’t sure what you need let us know and we can talk through the options. We can often tailor a package to suit your budget, or refer you to trusted and reliable technicians.
Venue resources and technical equipment
You can find a full list of dimensions and technical equipment on our Resources and Reference page, and you may find our 3D Tour of the venue useful in getting your bearings.
You may be able to visit The PumpHouse for a look around, but we have a full programme and it’s not always possible.
Pricing on our ratecard reflects the discounted rate offered to community groups, charities and not-for-profits. Venue hire costs are subsidised by grants, funders and generous members of the public who donate to The PumpHouse to support performing arts in Tāmaki Makaurau.
You can find our full rate card for 2026 on our Resources and Reference page. If you need a formal quote, please let us know.
If you are not a charity or not-for-profit (e.g you are a professional performer, a dance/drama/music school, or hosting a corporate event) we may ask you for more information so we can assess if you are eligible for discounted, subsidised pricing.
If your event features some form of community engagement such as a post-show talk, accessible performances and free companion tickets, Pay What You Wish performances or similar community benefits we are able to offer the discounted rate.
Pricing can be subject to change, pending the availability of funding.
