About
Join us at the North Shore Performing Arts Society’s 71st Annual Senior Vocal Competition, a magnificent celebration of vocal talent from across Aotearoa New Zealand. It promises to be an unforgettable weekend of magnificent solo and ensemble performances, including the highly-anticipated Becroft Aria Finals on Sunday 1 June, proudly supported by The Becroft Foundation and Creative NZ Communities.
Singers who have taken part in this annual competition in the past have made names for themselves both nationally and internationally, including Natasha Te Rupe Wilson, Edward Laurenson, and Amina Edris.
The North Shore Performing Arts Society is proud to offer a platform for performers to showcase their artistic talents, celebrate their progress alongside their peers, and gain valuable experience performing on a public stage, which might not be easily accessible elsewhere. The Society gratefully acknowledges the long-standing partnership with The PumpHouse, dating back to 1978 when the auditorium (named the Genevieve Becroft Auditorium on November 6, 2017) was used by the Society for the first time.
