About
Frank Graveson – Antarctic Explorer

From the early days of the working bees scraping off concrete scaling the chimney to being made a life member last year Frank is a long-standing supporter of The PumpHouse.
Before his exploits at The PumpHouse, Frank was one of the two dog handlers at Scott Base 1962 -1964 when dogs were the most reliable form of transport in the rough country that the New Zealanders were mapping.
He is the holder of the Polar Medal and is a Life member of the NZ Antarctic Society.
He is going to regale us with some of his adventures at the bottom of the world!
About Creative Talks
The PumpHouse Theatre’s Creative Talks series aims to bring the community together with creatives to discover more about their process and what inspires them. Each event explores what goes on behind the scenes to create their unique art. There is something for everyone with an interest in the arts and the inspiration that drives creativity.
This year, we have split the talks into two seasons – three in Autumn and three in Spring.
The event is free with tea and coffee provided.
