Where is the old pump?
The original pump which was housed at The PumpHouse is known as The Lake Pupuke Engine. It has been restored by experts at The Museum of Transport and Technology and is now part of the MOTAT collection. Learn more »
Why can’t I find The PumpHouse’s street address / street number?

Which row is the first elevated row of seats in the main theatre auditorium?
Row D is the first elevated row. Seating is tiered from Row D to Row M.
Rows AA, A, B and C are all at ground level.
Can I have a wedding/funeral/party/church service at The PumpHouse?
The PumpHouse is a venue for the performing arts, ticketed events, arts related activities and workshops and can also accommodate seminars and conferences that require a stage and theatrical equipment.
Under the terms of its lease with Auckland Council, The PumpHouse is not able to be used as venue for private functions such as weddings nor for religious gatherings.
The French Rendez-vous Café next door to The PumpHouse can sometimes accommodate small private functions. Learn more »
I have old costumes I’d like to donate, who can I give them to?
Anyone with costumes or props they wish to donate should try getting in touch with theatre companies such as North Shore Music Theatre, Shoreside Theatre, Company Theatre, Mairangi Players.
The sign on Killarney St says The PumpHouse Theatre and Gallery – but there’s no gallery. Why?
The PumpHouse Gallery was dis-established in 2007. Auckland Council (ex North Shore City Council) erected signage which is out of date.
Does The PumpHouse have a Risk Management Assessment document for schools and early education providers?

What age range are Tim Bray Productions children’s shows suitable for?
Tim Bray Productions’ shows are generally suitable for ages 3-8. Shows may also appeal to older children who have an interest in the performing arts. Children younger than 3 years of age are welcome and often enjoy the spectacle of live theatre!
Is there any way I can avoid paying a booking fee?
There is a booking fee for online, phone bookings and for any purchases made at the box office before the day of the event. The fee is charged per transaction NOT per ticket. To avoid paying a booking fee, you can buy on the door on the day of your event (subject to seat availability) or join Friends of The PumpHouse
Do you have a lost property department?
The PumpHouse does not have a lost property department. Personal property that has been left behind by patrons and visitors to The PumpHouse will be held for no more than 2 weeks and then disposed of. If property has identification, we will attempt to get in touch with the owner.
