Meet our Senior Seatizens.

They’ve been holding up audiences in the Genevieve Becroft Auditorium since 1992, that’s 34 years of dedicated service in human years, but 119 seat years!

They’re not glamorous. They’re not always comfortable. Years of children clambering and adults settling in for a good show have taken their toll.

When one breaks a welder has to come onsite to fix it, often fabricating new parts from scratch.

These seating stalwarts have been repaired, patched, and coaxed back into service more times than we can count.

They’re not going to last forever. We know that.

Our plan is to replace them in the coming years but until then, we want to keep every one of them clean, safe, and in service. Because a seat that’s out of action is a seat that can’t be filled, and a full house changes everything.

When every seat is taken, performers feel it. The energy shifts. Stories land differently. And that’s what keeps The PumpHouse thriving, local artists working, and this community coming together night after night.
