Imperfect Offering and Simon Lynch present Cohen Meets Beethoven, an evening of Leonard Cohen songs and Beethoven’s classical works for piano.
Imperfect Offering is a nine-piece band paying tribute to the poet and musician Cohen in a programme of his music including the great songs Suzanne and Hallelujah.
In the first half of the programme concert pianist Simon Lynch will present Beethoven’s Pathétique and Moonlight Sonata. One of New Zealand’s leading pianists and musicians, Simon was a member of the soul-funk band Ardijah and has returned to his classical roots, recently releasing two classical piano CDs.
