About
Jodie Dorday debuted her theatre career with Auckland Theatre Co’s Dancing At Lughnasa in 1995 and the stage is still very much her happy place! She has also been blessed enough to have been involved with Auckland Theatre Co’s Take a Chance on Me, All My Sons, Billy Elliott in the role of Mrs Wilkinson and Filthy Business as Carol. She has performed the lead role of Sylvia at Downstage. Social Climbers and Midsummer Nights Dream at Centrepoint.. She’s also produced and performed Roger Hall’s one woman play The Bookclub in 2018 at The Pumphouse Theatre in Auckland, Centrestage and Tauranga. She recently popped on her Producer hat again and produced the award winning Westend Amelia Bullmore play – Di and Viv and Rose into Circa Theatre in Wellington and The Mayfair in Dunedin to rave reviews and is delighted to be bringing this to The Pumphouse Theatre in March 2022. She is on stage with her dearest friends Julie Edwards and Lara MacGregor – one not to be missed!
Jodie trained extensively in dance for 20 years and worked alongside her fabulous Mum Debbie at Burgundys for a good many years entertaining and making people laugh! She has recently lived in Bali with her son JJ and husband Troy and enjoyed scooting around with the odd stray dog on her scooter and drinking fresh coconut juice …oh and the odd Pina Colada!
‘I’m looking really forward to being able to share an outstanding theatre experience with you all at The Pumphouse when Di and Viv and Rose plays in March 2022.”
