If you missed our recent Harakeke Workshop, don’t fret..!

Due to overwhelming popular demand, tutor Kendall Fricker is back for a re-run; to introduce you to the ancient and culturally significant craft of flax weaving.

Learn how the flax is cut and prepared, then complete a simple flax weaving project which you can take home. This will be a relaxing morning of creativity, companionship and learning for adults.

About the tutor
Kendall is head of Te Puawaitanga, the Maori Language unit at Birkdale Primary School. She’s also very laid-back, supportive and keen to help people learn.

This is one in a series of workshops presented throughout the year as part of our Toi Takapuna 2018 programme of Maori theatre.

Note: Light refreshments will be served during a short break.
