About
Tom Stoppard’s hilarious and poignant adaptation of Gerald Sibleyras’ play “Heroes” highlights the unlikely bonds formed through shared experiences.
Gustave, Philippe and Henri, the idealist, the pragmatist and the fence sitter, give three wonderful actors the chance to build characters we all recognise. They are war heroes, plotting to escape the confines of not only their current lives but the French home for retired soldiers they live in. It is a reminder that you are never too old for a bit of anarchy and laughter.
Veteran actors David Aston, Stephen Papps and Bruce Phillips star in this strictly limited season from Tadpole Productions, Directed by Janice Finn, at the PumpHouse Theatre, Takapuna.
