Come and enjoy an afternoon of live music with the North Shore Concert Band as they take you on a musical exploration of the Silk Road trading routes.
Taking in places such as Greece, Morocco, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, Persia, India, Korea, China, and Japan along the way.
Pieces will include:
- Scheherezade suite for band (Rimsky-Korsakoff)
- Czardas (Vittorio Monti) – featuring Courtney Braunert on alto saxophone
- Music from My Neighbour Totoro (Joe Hisaishi)
- Folk Dances (Shostakovich)
- Variations on a Korean Folk Song (John Barnes Chance)
