A love story, a clown, life and death and noodles.
Japanese clown, Sachie and an international team of artists bring you Fish Saw, a theatrical bilingual solo show with multimedia and original score.
Through the eyes of a talking Fish, a magical encounter unfolds of two girls across
time and oceans. It’s a compelling story of an eccentric family, incredible natural disaster
and how to deal with your grandmother as a ghost.
Imagine you are a child living in a mansion by the sea.
And one day you realize your family runs the town’s official brothel.
And your family also runs the legendary noodle shop from the same house.
And what if, your great grandmother haunts the house because
she wanted to eat more of that noodle soup!
Fish Saw is based on Sachie’s family in Japan and deeply inspired
by the 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that wiped out her mother’s
hometown where all the stories take place.
