About
The Santa Claus Show – 2019
by TIM BRAY
songs by CHRISTINE WHITE
A magical Christmas story for the whole family. Santa helps reveal the pleasure of giving.
Kelly and Alana are best friends and decide to write to Santa Claus. But Kelly sends the longest list of things that a child wants for Christmas that Santa has ever seen. Santa flies Kelly to the North Pole so she can learn for herself the true meaning of Christmas.
Costume Parade (Gala and School Holiday Season only)
Encourage your children to dress up as their favourite character for the onstage Costume parade just prior to the start of the show.
Gift a Seat
While you make your booking you may like to donate to our Gift a Seat programme. This allows Tim Bray Productions to offer a free seat to a child from a low decile school, Kelston Deaf Education Centre, BLENNZ (Blind and Low Vision Education Network of NZ) or Make-A-Wish (NZ). Help a child to smile for a while and allowing all children to have the opportunity to have access to and enjoy live theatre.
Accessible Performances
NZSL Interpreted Performance: Dates TBC
Audio Described Performance and Touch Tour: Tuesday 3rd December and Saturday 14th December – Touch Tour at 12 pm, show starts at 1 pm. (65 minutes long).
Sensory Relaxed Performance – 14 December at 1 pm
A sensory relaxed performance creates a less formal, supportive atmosphere in the theatre. This performance is for anyone, and it may be an especially good fit for those with sensory, movement, communication, and learning needs. The show softens some technical elements and offers supplementary materials to enable neurodiverse children and their family to enjoy a comfortable and inclusive theatre experience. Find Out More
